New York NEW YORK!

I am so behind with my blog posts!  So many thoughts in my head and no time to write them down.  Before I went away I had 1000 jobs to do for work… then, New York.  Then the inevitable illness on return… and now here I am at last!

I had an idea of what to expect… and so much of what I thought was spot on.  Well done to the movies!  The characterisation of the standard New Yorker is spot on – and the city has that mad, urban, chaos that you see depicted.

What I didn’t know was how EXCEPTIONALLY loud it was going to be.  How, totally crazy nearly everyone is.  How BUSY and frenzied everything is… the tube seems tranquil after a day on the frantic subway.

It has been so long since I’ve been on an adventure.  Since I’ve followed a dream to explore somewhere new and discovered the world from a fresh perspective... meeting people from a different culture, and all the bright, exciting learning that goes hand in hand with that.

Now I feel compelled to share some of what I pondered.  As I was there for 7 days, and 7 was the magic number for all of us, there will be SEVEN posts inspired by NYC.
