WHY is this VENUS RETROGRADE *so* intense? KEY DATES FOR YOU.
This Venus Retrograde has all the hallmarks of The 2023 Love Revolution.
THE ASTROLOGY CHART SHOWING A YOD!
The arrow pointing to Venus is a YOD aspect. It’s called a FINGER OF GOD. Said to be a fated or karmic aspect.
Combine that with Pluto at 29º Capricorn and the North and South Nodes of the Moon at 29ª and the sky is super intense.
Libra (where the South Node is) is ruled by Venus, so that’s a double whammy.
What is this Double Whammy communicating? It’s offering reflection on the past.
The Barbie movie is a nostalgic movie (I discussed all this in my pod, listen here.) We are looking BACK at what we value and asking why did we have those values?!
The potency and pressure applied to Venus at the minute is so strong that almost everyone is experiencing the effects in some way shape or form.
This week has blown most people away with it’s deep, dark, intense vibe and I’m here to tell the story of this cycle.
The Venus Retrograde Map
Over the next few months Venus is going to tell a story.
This story begins with a really intense scene. It’s like going to the theatre where the first act is a murder and the rest of the play is trying to work out motivations, background, truth and the crime of passion.
Heightened by emotion, you see the world with more clarity. It’s easier to prioritise.
This Venus Retrograde story began on the 20th of June when Venus reached 12º of Leo.
Since then she’s been in shadow and made some pretty interesting moves on the 2nd of July when she squared Uranus (this is a subplot to follow!) Here the shackles began to shake and rattle, the desire for truth and freedom really picked up.
Venus reached 28º of Leo on the 18th of July and stationed there on the 23rd of July. Forming the Yod you see in the chart above. She’s helpfully aspecting the South Node, the catalyst to everyone reassessing their values. What REALLY matters?
The awkward aspects from Neptune and Pluto PUSH and force Venus to ask difficult questions. To confront abuses. To admit addictions. To understand where shyness, pride and delusion got in the way of love, passion and connection.
As Venus moves in Retrograde motion this initial intensity will dissipate, but the story will unravel…
On the 10th / 11th of August Venus will square Uranus again and split, rupture, reveal, shock with revelations. These could be connecting, they could be separating. They are characteristically difficult to predict.
On the 13th of August Venus and the Sun will meet for a Cazimi day of clarity.
From the 20th of August Jupiter begins to station retrograde at 15º Taurus. An already sensitive degree because that’s where Uranus stationed in January (close to where Uranus stationed at 14º and 56’ minutes.) Either way - mid of the fixed is SPARKY! A semi-square from the world axis and an expansive force for learning, chance taking and leap making.
On the 22nd and 23rd of August Venus will square this Jupiter and ask questions about where you have over extended yourself.
Eventually Venus stations direct on the 3rd of September but the journey isn’t over because now she retraces her steps.
On the 17th and 18th of September Venus squares Jupiter again, this time she is direct and he is retrograde. The baton is passed as they explore what needs to be learned, enjoy some fun times and take care not to overspend or overdo it in anyway.
Venus squares Uranus again on the 29th and 30th of September - is that rupture final? Are you going back? What have you learned? Where are you safe? There’s so many questions around that, I’ll be exploring it all more as we go! Stay tuned into The Oddcast!
The inconjunct with Neptune reforms on the 3rd and 4th of October where the Yod to Venus reactivates until the 7th of October.
At this point the nodes are at 24º and so they too are being aspected by both Venus and Neptune. The call forward into the future is so strong…. and by October we are just days away from the eclipse in Libra.
