LA LUNE
A Full Moon conjunct Chiron to *kick off* October is zero surprise. It’s quite a month!
You can cry about Chiron, he us wounded, but he is WISE! Couldn’t we all do with a little bit of wisdom at the moment?
Chiron in myth was a centaur, in astrology he's an asteroid and is linked with the “wounded healer” he carries pain and that pain is heavy, it tips the scales of Libra and we see that things are not balanced and not fair.
There are the days to lick our wounds and there are days to get wise.
As I said, Chiron is a centaur… most centaurs were pretty wild and nuts. A little bit SHAMELESS. A tiny bit of booze and they would wreck the joint. I’m sure plenty of us are in the mood to get boozed and smash things up… but with Chiron we should be wise and rise above our animal instincts.
A Full Moon in Aries is opposite the Sun in Libra and our independent will is stifled. Mars is the planet that rules Aries, he’s retrograde and stuck in a headlock with Saturn. Which way is out?
Venus is the planet that rules Libra and she’s shining brightly each morning in Leo, teasing us. I expect her move into Virgo will HUMBLE us all. She shifts tomorrow, the 2nd of October. Venus tells us what we value and in Virgo we love the details instead of the drama! Virgo discerns and tells us what is relevant. Whilst the Sun is in Venus ruled Libra, the placement of Venus is especially relevant.
Pluto stationing direct on the 4th means he’s already exceptionally slow moving in the sky and when he shifts direction things might SURGE to the surface.
We aren’t there yet though… instead we are at the Full Moon and the waters are swelling beneath the surface. There’s a surge and shift incoming but it can’t burst and swell like a Full Moon usually would. The release that we love at the Full Moon is impeded because the waters cannot wash the debris away.
The Full Moon conjunct Chiron is not as able to do it’s thing!
Mars, the ruler of Aries square to Saturn, as the disposition of this Moon means that the release doesn’t come.
This thought came to me as I was writing this blog yesterday and I think it makes sense… the heat continues to rise, this Full Moon is a damp squib.
Did you see the film Parasite? It’s very 2020!
Imagine going to the sink and seeing it’s full of floating debris because the drain is blocked and all the things you want to wash away insist on staying in the sink… until you attend to the source of the blockage.
Chiron shows us where the wound is… it’s in the broken flow, the lack of harmony, lies, confusion, distorted focus, all eyes to the left failing to see the thief to the right. It's in the broken relationship we have with ourselves where we listen too much but think and act not enough.
Mercury in Scorpio will make the most of all this detritus and find some clues - he’s largely unaspected at this New Moon so he can ferret around in detective mode, undetected. Soon he will oppose Uranus and start shouting the truth from the rooftops like… Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes! Divisive, abrasive and rude but shockingly full of truth.
Ceres is at the anaretic degree of Aquarius HIGH in the sky in the UK as the Full Moon blooms. The need to celebrate yourself as you are, with your eccentricities and to love everyone, beyond borders! It’s interesting to ponder how the current situation has hardened country borders… Equality and balance of what we need to nurture and care for is being called for by her.
October was always going to be an “interesting” month! It's strange now to begin breathing life into these astrological aspects. Standing in March and looking to October with my long distance specs on made me ask the question, is it fated? Whatever the heavens had in store for now... was there a way to change it? Or was it inevitable? What is it going to be?!
I feel like there is a cosmic script being revealed bit by bit... and as the headlines, laws, trade deals and restrictions continue to change shape we will see what represents a block in the drain. The timing of the headlines tells us what they are linked to astrologically. So when Mercury meets Uranus and some shocking truth is revealed we can all take note of that piece of the puzzle.
How to use the energy?
Acknowledge that life is mental and it’s expected to feel a bit all over the place.
This is a birth / death process. It’s a squeezing and stress point. Watch how you can transform everything in a very short space of time. We all used to talk about this in March and April - it is amazing how life can change quickly. I don’t think it will be identical to earlier in the year, it’s a different side of the same coin.
Mindset is everything
Our vibe and perspective always sets the tone. Can you build that muscle? ?
Jupiter is in Capricorn and he too will square the Sun on the 11th of October. He is known as a healer but he’s in the sign of his fall, Capricorn and sometimes the way he heals is by making the problem SUPERSIZE OBVIOUS!
Venus trine Uranus has potential for an unexpected surprise - but I’m not saying that’s guaranteed to be great! Watch the markets on 10th October. (I’m not a financial astrologer but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that things are going to change.)
Red Mars (have you seen him at night?!) is opposite the Sun exactly on the 13th of October AND Mercury moves retrograde that day! OOOOOoooolala! It’s all going to kick off. What can you do with that? BE MEASURED, expect to feel provoked, channel the nervous tension into something… perhaps something that benefits SOMEONE ELSE. With Venus in Virgo we can be of service to others. We can clean up our act with practical steps.
It’s good news to know that there are so many CRUNCH days, head to heads, clashes and high energy surges coming! Don’t you think? I find it reassuring to know that this staleness is coming under pressure.
With respect to “what does it mean for me?!" As all anyone wants to know is WHAT IT MEANS FOR THEM. Perhaps at this time of damaged relations we can stop thinking about what it means for us.
This is a full moon in LIBRA the sign of relationships - so it’s our dealings with others that ask for attention. The personal is political. Global partnerships, "agreements" and deals.
The ritual is to identify your pain points and see the role you play in their creation. To write down the things you want to let go of, and BURN THEM.
With Chiron it can feel very raw, his wound was exposed. However, he was the greatest healer. Fresh air on our wounds is healthy.
What do you do for someone who has been sick or in hospital? Someone who has been wounded?
Buy them flowers.
Or a nice candle.
Cook them a nice meal.
Take them some grapes, or chocolate or wine.
Maybe write them a card.
Buy them a board game.
Sympathise.
Be there, hold hands.
Show support... whatever that means to them.
Everyone is wounded and everyone needs support.
It can be this very British, stiff upper lip Capricorn thing to say "it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things." Worse things happen at sea! Mustn't grumble! YES... but also people have massive mental breakdowns because of that sort of mentality and diseases emerge from emotions that were trapped in the body. So, perhaps its not the best plan!
As an MP said yesterday;
“I’m sorry, Secretary of State if I sound… actually, I’m not sorry that I’m angry because a lot of people in this place are angry."
It's a global mood.

Let's see how this plays out and I'll send more newsletters soon.

I posted IF by Rudyard Kipling on Instagram yesterday and think that perhaps the best strategy is to keep general moral and spiritual laws at the front of mind because we need consistency somewhere. IF you're interested in learning astrology with me later this month; sign up here.
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!
